We operate a ladder, for each type of game. Each ladder will operate for 4 months. There will be a trophy for the player/pair at the top of each ladder at the end of February, June and October.

For doubles, you may choose any partner for that 4 month period. After which you will need to change partner and cannot play with the same person again. For singles the leader after 4 months will be given a 3 point handicap, which is accumulative if you win more than once, i.e. you start off at -3 points.

You may challenge anyone on the ladder at any position. If you beat a person/pair above you and they are within 3 positions you go above them. If they are 4 or more positions above you, you meet halfway and swap places.

You may play a maximum of two different matches an evening (no rematches). A match is one game to 21, with setting.

In this example, Gavin beat John who was more than 4 places above him.
